Bryan Funai
Bryan Funai counsels U.S. based and foreign clients on corporate structure, reorganizations and the establishment of subsidiaries. Mr. Funai advises clients on the establishment of corporations and limited liability companies, as well as on divestitures, consolidations and sale of companies. He often represents clients in the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of contracts, including, sales, confidentiality, purchase, acquisition, stock purchase, joint venture and license agreements.
As an experienced business immigration attorney, Mr. Funai counsels clients on the immigration ramifications of various corporate structures. He prepares business plans to comply with the myriad of immigration laws and advises clients on the immigration consequences of corporate reorganizations. Because he is familiar with all types of immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, he advises clients on which is best suited to the company's needs. He also counsels executives on their eligibility for permanent residency and the application process required to obtain this status.
Mr. Funai speaks Japanese and frequently travels to Japan to stay abreast of the changes taking place at the Consular Posts in Osaka and Tokyo. He has authored several immigration articles for organizations including the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Japan External Trade Organization. In addition, Mr. Funai is often invited to speak at legal education and business seminars.
Mr. Funai is a Founding Fellow of the Alliance of Business Immigration Lawyers and is listed in the International Who's Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers.
